BTX Cafè returns to Milan for Beauty Week: a journey through the history of beauty standards

Following its June debut, BTX Cafè returns with its most intimate and special event yet. On Thursday, September 18th, BTX Bar® brings its format to the official Milano Beauty Week schedule, once again transforming the aesthetic medicine clinic into a space for culture and conversation, hosting the second stop of this free and inclusive series that puts beauty, identity, and freedom at the center.
The Aesthetics of Imperfection
The theme of this second episode is a true historical and cultural overview: a look at the evolution of beauty standards through decades of make-up, aesthetics, and aesthetic medicine. What was once perceived as a flaw can today become a unique, authentic, and distinctive trait.
Beauty, in fact, is not born from the absence of marks, but from the ability to transform them into language, identity, and memory. Fragments that come back together, like in the ancient Japanese technique of kintsugi, becoming something unique and precious.
As noted by Dr. Camilla Di Pasquali,Founder and Medical Director of BTX Bar:
“In aesthetic medicine, we speak of perfection when all scientific criteria are met to achieve facial harmony. However, I strongly believe that it is precisely in imperfection that one finds that special something capable of giving a face authentic beauty and artistic value.”
