BTX Café opens in Milan: where aesthetic medicine, culture, and human rights meet in a medical clinic

A medical clinic that becomes a space for discussion: the debut on June 23rd with an evening dedicated to the trans community
Take an aesthetic medicine clinic and strip away everything you expect: exclusivity, polished style, and the distance between doctor and patient. In their place, introduce a pop, accessible, and free format where the topics are rights, identity, self-determination, and, of course, ‘beauty’.
This is the heart of the new project launched by BTX Bar® Italia: it’s called BTX Café, and its debut is set for Monday, June 23, 2025, with a special event dedicated to the rights of transgender and non-binary people.
What is the BTX Café
The BTX Café is much more than a series of talks: it is a disruptive and completely free cultural format, which dismantles the idea of the clinic as an exclusive space for the few, returning it to the city as a place of participation, where beauty stops being a product and becomes a possibility for care, for listening, for freedom.
An initiative created to dismantle the elitist idea of aesthetic medicine and return to the city a place of care and beauty as an open, participatory, and transformative space.
“We wanted to break the mold,” says Flavio Ronzi, CEO of BTX Bar, “and bring the debate to where it’s least expected. The BTX Café may be located in a clinic, but it is a free, accessible space where beauty is not an ideal to chase, but a way to express oneself.”
The first event: TRANS-forming to resemble oneself
The inaugural evening on June 23rd is titled "TRANS-forming to resemble oneself - The body, identity, and the right to be yourself" and chooses to discuss the trans community: not as a “hot topic” for a Pride showcase, but as a living reality facing increasing attacks on rights, even in Europe.
Guests for the first meeting:
- Priscilla – Drag artist and transfeminist activist, recently at the center of controversy for speaking about gender identity at a public school in Acerra.
- Miki Formisano – founder of the intersectional collective Human Pride and co-founder of ItalyTrans Agenda
- Christian Leonardo Cristalli – coordinator of Casa Arcobaleno Lucy Salani and head of trans policies for Arcigay Nazionale.
- Camilla Di Pasquali, Founder & Medical Director, BTX Bar
“Aesthetic medicine,” she stated, Dr. Camilla Di Pasquali,Founder and Medical Director of BTX Bar “when practiced with empathy, rigor, and humanity, can be a significant journey for those—like many trans individuals—who wish to see their true identity reflected in their face or body. Our role is to support this process with respect and expertise.”
BTX Bar and the 2025 Pride Campaign: “Stop Being Fake”
During Pride Month, BTX Bar also launched its new campaign: “Stop Being Fake.” By reclaiming and subverting Paris Hilton’s famous pop slogan, “Stop Being Desperate”—which went viral (and was distorted) on social media in the early 2000s—BTX Bar sends a clear message: “take off the mask, stop being fake, and embrace your authenticity.” In the weeks leading up to Pride, further events are scheduled atEuforia to build a new language of the body and identity together. The grand finale will take place at the end of June, when BTX Bar, together with La Boum, will march with their own float at the Milano Pride, bringing the message to the streets that beauty and freedom are never in contradiction.
